Lost to end in two-ish years

Lots of buzz here.  In summary, Lost will finish out somewhere around two seasons.  I suspect - given the update at that link whish states that the exact number of episodes is “muddy” - that they will film 108 episodes.  I mean, come on.  That’s...that’s almost necessary.  if they make more than 108 episodes I’m going to be really disappointed.  Imagine the Lost boxed set.  Episode 1 to Apisode 108 and the series ends.  How perfect is that?

Anyway, they are also planning to run it from the mid-season to the end, like 24 so there’s no long break in the middle.  Another good idea.  They also want to move it back to 9 PM.  I’d go right back to 8 PM the way it was in the beginning.  That will give them the highest ratings.

Giving Lost a definitive ending will allow the writers to actually plan it out and reveal what we want in a regular, predictable-to-them fashion.  I think that will remove this “We’re making it up as we go along” feeling the show has had since they decided to keep Ben as a regular.  I’m in favor of this whole rumored set of changes.  I think it will help a lot.  ABC is supposed to make the announcement within a few days.
