All-Boobie Friday brings you Carl’s Jr. and Hardees
So the “Reverend” Donald Wildmon sends me email every so often, asking me to boycott this or protest that. I usually ignore them, but this one was kind of funny:
Hardees / Carl’s Jr. hit new lows with ads
Ask your local TV station(s) to stop or refuse the ads
CKE Restaurants, Inc. (Hardees/Carl’s Jr.) is hitting new lows in their latest round of television commercials. After offending families with Paris Hilton and Hugh Hefner-driven ads over the past few years, the hamburger chain is taking its history of sleaze marketing to a new level.
One of the latest ads, now on national television, depicts a sexualized female teacher in a high school classroom doing a stripper-style dance on top of her desk, while male students do a rap song about her “flat buns.” Click here to see this ad (Warning: This ad is offensive and provided only for the purpose of educating our members).
In another ad, a scantly-clad woman gyrates to a countdown of things she wants a man to do to her. All the time, she is eating a “patty melt” sandwich. Click here to see this ad (Warning: This ad is offensive and provided only for the purpose of educating our members).

These ads are airing on local television stations across the nation. These stations are licensed by the FCC to “serve the public interest.”

Hardees and Carl’s Jr. have a solid history of completely ignoring consumer complaints. However, you may wish to contact your local restaurant manager by finding the store’s number in your local yellow pages.

You know what I’ve always wanted to ask this dick? How the fuck does Wildmon think these “offended” families were created in the first place? Prayer and immaculate conception?

Meh… I saw the “flat buns” one and all I could think was “makes brain hurt!” - too stupid to be sexy. But yeah, the overreaction is even more stupid, and probably increases the effectiveness of the ad by an order of magnitude. Which makes me wonder if these nutjobs are secretly on Hardee’s payroll.

I’d seen the “flat buns” one several times. I liked it, but mostly because it proves how dead rap truly is. I think one of the first nails in the coffin was when Corn Puffs did a rapping commercial where they called the cereal “bling”.
