Problems with flickering
If you are using Firefox 1.0.x and are seeing weird flickering with the ads on this site...upgrade to Firefox 1.5. Seriously. It’s a bug in older Firefox versions, and upgrading to 1.5 fixes it permanently. Basically the ads are served in an iframe, like Google ads, but older Firefox installs don’t know how to portion out that space before the frame is loaded, so it redraws over and over even afer the content is loaded.
I tried 4 or 5 ways to fix it for older versions, and they all either worked but screwed up the formatting or didn’t work at all. Upgrade today!
Firefox 1.5 really is better, faster and more stable. Just save your bookmarks, cookies and signons files from your profiles directory, wipe it all out and start over with a fresh, clean install. Drop your personal files back in the new profile directory after you are finished, re-install your favorite extensions and you will have a smooth, fast browser with far less bugs and memory leaks.
