Virginia Tech shooting
I know little to nothing about today’s event - neither does anyone else, really, but if you want to try to follow it, I suggest Wizbang. Here’s their first post that has many, many updates. It seems that it may have started when the shooter found his girlfriend in bed with another guy.
Here’s their second post, made now that the breaking aspect of this news has slowed down.
Two things: Let’s not operate as if we know all the facts yet...show some restraint in theorizing while discussing this. More importantly, keep the victims and their families in your thoughts.

I can understand the thought of someone walking in on their significant other cheating and the mind freaks and they kill those people. I can sort of see where if you had a few loose wires that could happen. I think most of us have been pissed at someone and thought man I could just kill them but fortunately most of our brains are wired to realize that would be wrong.
Buthow do you go from jilted, murderous lover to just shooting every random person you see. I just cannot get my head around killing random people that have absolutely nothing to do with you or your situation. How disconnected must that person be. It just makes you sick to think you could be anywhere, school, the mall, driving down the street, and someone would just start shooting at you at random. Its so senseless, I just can’t get a handle on it.

Seriously, who was faithful to their S.O. in college anyway? I mean, really, that’s the best time to get some infidelity out of your system.

Reading that article don’t you just think that they make the NRA out to be this insidious group directing the Republicans in Congress from the shadows. I bet you’d never hear anything like that said about Moveon.org and the Democrats.
You’ll also notice that the gun control zealots are issuing their statements left and right but the NRA is being quiet in public and has only issued condolences.

Oh and of course you know Video games will be blamed for this as well. As many hours as I have racked up with FPS, I guess I’m a prime candidate for this.
Lets all say it together: Correlation does not mean Causation.

Wow, that would definitely explain why originally only 2 people had been reportedly killed.
