Via email: Moonbats
Wow. I get lots of moonbat email. As co-founder of Moorewatch I get more than my fair share. This site generates some as well. I expect certain kinds of moonbat phrases to come up...they’re usually a good litmus test as to whether or not this person has a brain in their head.
It’s a little different when groups purporting to be the mainstream of the Democratic Party send this shit out.
“The elected Governor of Louisiana requested immediate assistance from the unelected dictator of the United States before Hurricane Katrina hit. Now the GOP storm troopers and their minions in the corporate press want to blame the locals for a catastrophe beyond the ability of both the Louisiana State Government and the New Orleans City Government to handle promptly or completely.”
Hmm.
Ever wonder why the Dems keep losing elections? I’m sure it has nothing to do with aligning themselves with people like Moore, Code Pink, Sheehan and MoveOn. No. Nothing at all. Entirely coincidental that the more rabid and moonbatty they get the more elections they lose.

I doubt it. Despite what they’d have you think, and the internet would lead you to believe, and libtard Hollywooders would like to state, being Republican is not the international mark of shame that they make it seem.
At home, over half the country voted that way in the Presidential election… if less than half the people are the ones attaching the stigma, it’s not really that strong of a stigma.
Abroad, most people don’t really care about Democrats or Republicans, they just know Americans… for a good deal of them, that’s reason enough for insult and trying to make said Americans ashamed. Canadian politicians and notables, in their constant diatribes, do not talk about “idiotic Republican policies”, they talk about “idiotic American policies”.
Pretty much the only non-Americans I’ve seen that actually seem to care about Republicans versus Democrats (as opposed to wanting “anybody but Bush” or somesuch) are the ones that are in it for the bitching, not for any debate or discussion, and are just as likely to be a self-hating American thinking that they’re somehow made better by pretending to be anything but American.

Who was talking about the international community? I surely wasn’t. It is what the domestic audience thinks that is important.
51% of people may have voted for Bush to be relected, but that isn’t the kind of margin I’d be hanging my hat on. You may differ. What is his domestic approval rating these days? (IIRC, 38%)

Actually, I think it was 52%, and it might not be much up there in Unoccupied Land, but down here where we actually have a population, it can mean a lot. n.-

Actaully, up here that would be substantial, given that there are currently 4 major federal parties. Down south where there are only two, that is kinda pathetic (smallest margin since 1916). “Barely enough to win” is quite the accomplishment given such a lame opponent. You must feel very proud.
(Bush 50.73% to Kerry’s 48.27%)
But like I said, this isn’t about what win Bush barely got in 2004… it is about the damage the Republicans are doing to their image since then and how it could impact their chances in 2006 and 2008. You might be a staunch enough Republican supporter to either not notice or not care.. but you can bet the Democrats do and will try to capitalize on it.

The Democrats only know how to capitalize on destruction, death, and hate. The only reason I’m a staunch Republican supporter is because the Democrats are completely and utterly batshit insane, and you must be partly insane yourself to either not notice or not care.

I think they might have a chance being moonbats if they actually could formulate a plan around that philosophy. Right now they are simply on “We’re not Republican” mode, and that simply hasn’t been good enough. Though, if things continue on the course they are currently heading.. it just might be.
