We had a similar thing in the UK.
Lucozade a fizzy glucose drink (if you do not have it) used for years the following.
“Lucozade aids recovery”
It was even printed on the bottle.
It was dropped a couple of years after aids became well known. The reason.
The unscrupulous were selling it in Africa for hundreds of dollars a bottle.
