Tookie’s s’posed to buy it tonight
So. Tookie Williams.
I haven’t said anything about the guy. What’s to say? Started the Crips. Horrible human being who has a jailhouse conversion. What. A. Surprise. People are asking, should the Gubanator grant him clemency? My gut says no. Nothing he could ever do would make up for what he has already doin, and he’s had 20 years to prove his innocence. Enough.
But…
I do like a little sport.
Tookie likes him some spotlight. He likes the famous folks who come to see him. No, he’s no Mumia, but he gets his fair share of Hollywood assholes and black “leaders” who come to see him and cluck their tongues at how The Man is trying to keep a brother down.
Here’s my plan: Offer Tookie a choice: A lifetime of solitary confinement, no access to anyone who isn’t a prison employee, no phone, no email, no media access whatsoever. No visitors that aren’t blood relatives, and those will be limited to one one-hour visit per month.
Or...take the needle.
Wanna bet on which he’d choose?

I’ll put $25 on “Becomes A Martyr"… er, wait, that’s supposed to be phrased “takes the needle”.
Does anyone believe that if Arnie commuted the sentence that there would be a single liberal that would vote for him because of it?
