There’s no Johnny
What a day. I just found out Carson died. That’s two. These things always come in threes.
You know what made Johnny better than the other hosts? He enjoyed it and you could see it on his face.

This is indeed a sad day. Johnny was the reason I stayed up late all the time back in high school. He was always warm, funny and personable. He managed to do all of this while maintaining an air of wry detachment at the same time. Best of all, he quit while he was ahead. Sadly, this left us with Jay Leno.
(sidenote: I wonder what Rush Limbaugh thinks of Donovan McNabb right now)

I remember one Hollywood legend that revolved around him. Seems there was this kitty that his writers would kick $1 into every working day, and whoever Johnny said “Good morning” to first got to keep it all.
When I heard the story, that pool stood at about $23,000…
