The Ground Zero suicide
Looks like it was just about a chick.
Right Thoughts regular Nick Stewart, from whom I got this link, said:
It was over a girl. That’s right, a girl. Now, I don’t think there’s a single one of us who hasn’t been in some pretty bad relationships. Shoot, I could write a book. But you don’t see us blowing our brains out.
That’s pretty much all I have to say. I really never went off about this kid because I just assumed from jump that there was something else. It smelled like media creation from the get go. I think he chose Ground Zero because it was the most painful place he could think of, and he was in pain.
Now...killing yourself over a girl? One with whom you have not shared a lifetime’s worth of trials and tribulations? That’s cowardly and stupid. Mostly stupid. My guess is an autopsy, if he had one, would show a chemical problem, either in his brain involuntarily or in his bloodstream voluntarily.
The lesson for the rest of us? IF YOU ARE DEPRESSED, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. Even if you’re wrong and it’s just an extended bad mood, so what? What have you really lost? But if it’s not, you might have a legitimate physiological reason to feel like you do. Seek help at the earliest signs and your life will better for it.
