That’s a big “NO” to Kid Nation
Fake, fake, fake. It’s worse than any other Mark Burnett production because 99.95% of the kids can’t act, so the scripted shit comes of a million times worse. I think The Two Coreys was more realistic. The “town” is an old TV/film set, the kids are obviously being fed lines, the whole thing is just bad.
I’m not going to be blogging this one. I think I hate all Mark Burnett reality shows. They’re always boring and totally fake.

I avoided it totally, because the reason I watch reality TV is to laugh at stupid people. I don’t feel comfortable laughing at kids.

well, it’s not that i don’t feel comfortable laughing at kids. because i do. i mean, i have the most adorable red-headed 6 year old niece, and nothing makes me giggle more than when she accidentally walks into a wall or something ;)
i don’t feel comfortable laughing at EXPLOITED kids. i have my limits ;)

I loved the show… Sure it was a little bit staged. But I think the emotions of the kids were real. I really hope everyone gives it a second shot next week. I’d much rather read a blog about that than about Rock of Love. -john

Well now that’s just about the dumbest thing I’ve heard today.

The only way this would be watchable if these children had actually been dropped off in the middle of nowhere, and left. Automated camera’s would film them turning to savagery, and eventually hunting and eating the weaker. Well...One can dream.
I mean, we are led to believe children are wonderful lil avatar’s of love and peace. That they would build a society of happiness and joy, if only all us darn adults would just let them. I see this as just a larger display of the “All Children are Wonderful” culture that gives out 9th place trophies.

I utterly hate reality TV. It’s lazy shit created by producers who don’t want to have to write anything. Just follow some stupid, superficial people around with a camera! You don’t even have to pay them as much as real actors!
Fuck “reality” TV.

of course it’s fake ;) also, despite my love for crap reality tv, i actually have a moral/ethical issue with the very concept of this one (regardless of is fakitude), and refuse to watch.
