Susanne Osthoff is crazy…and I suspect…
I’ve been reading about the Susanne Osthoff story in various places, but a good summation of events (complete with links to follow that will fill you in) can be found here at Digger’s Realm.
After reading it all in context again, I have to say…
I think she faked it all. I smell a big fat fraud here. She’s as crazy as a shit-house rat, and she stays far away from details about her actual kidnapping. Why? Because nothing she makes up will match what authorities know happens to others in the same situations. She knows if she says nothing, keeps it vague, she can’t be pinned down to any details that may not ring true to those who know.
I smell a big lie here.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this ends up being played out.
Easy. Anti-American types will immediately enshrine her as a victim, putting her statements beyond the reach of such accusations like “that never happened” and “you’re obviously crazy”. Someone will register her name as an Internet domain, and post long, loving, lyrical poems in her honor. The whackadoos over at DU will somehow blame it all on Bush and/or Rove.
Any further prognostications you wish, just ask. I specialize in the glaringly obvious.

wow...that was an interesting read I gotta say.
I am starting to think like you on this one Jim. something doesn’t smell right.
Reading the link about her wanting to go back to Iraq and the comment about not being able to “kidnapp Americans”...wow! I don’t know how to reply to that part.
