Some common sense
As I was bopping around online the last few days, I noticed a lot of people complaining about opening American fast food places in the Middle East. I even saw some people on Fark.com complaining about military bases having chain stores and restaurants in and around them.
People, do you not watch the South Park? They just covered this with Wal-Mart.
If you don’t like the megasuperultracorporations…
STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. Stop shopping at Wal-Mart or Target or wherever. Stop eating at Chili’s, Applebee’s, Bennigan’s, TGI Friday’s, McDonalds, Burger King, Etc. IT’S YOUR MONEY. YOUR DECISION. YOU CREATE THESE COMPANIES BY SHOPPING THERE LOYALLY DAY IN AND DAY OUT. Stop blaming “the man” for your behavior.
If the people in the Middle Eastern countries that have American chain restaurants don’t like them, they will close due to a lack of business. See how that works?
Free will, folks. Look into it.

I go to Target because there’s one right within walking distance (although i never seem to want to walk there) and I like their card readers...quick and simple. And clean.

Go to Target even after they gave the Salivation Army the boot? I don’t go to Wal-Mart due to 80% of their crap comes from China, and their crap is really not all that much cheaper than any where else.

It’s hilarious to see these idiots to bitch about corporate america. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it plain and simple.
I refuse to go to Wal-Mart anymore. Not because I’m anti-capitalist, but because the last time I was in there, I had to sit in a self-checkout line for about 20 minutes because the idiots couldn’t figure out to get the new checkout system to work. That was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I get sick and tired of having to wade through an ocean of people just to buy a couple of things. I go to Target now, because its closer to where I live and there are virtually no lines.
I guess with me, Wal-Mart is a victim of its own success.
