So…Apple
Someone actually emailed me and asked why I didn’t post about the Apple announcements at Macworld.
Uhh...because I don’t own a Mac? I can’t afford to be a Mac user. Don’t get me wrong...I love the idea of a “Macbook” (ugh, that name...it does NOT roll off the tongue...the hard consonant in the middle of the word sounds Klingon, not cool) that can run OSX at blistering speeds and can dual-boot Windows. But have you seen the prices on a machine with decent RAM and a reasonable hard drive, and something beyond a 90-day warranty? Wow. It’s astoundingly expensive.
I’m not interested in a big monitor I can’t really tinker with...I’m over the idea of a mini. If I ever buy a Mac, it’ll be a laptop, that is where the company truly shines IMHO...that and the iPod.
I will say this: the magnetic power cable is a simple idea that seems so obvious in retrospect...pure Apple design, and a great idea.

So...there, I posted about it. Yay Apple, nice laptop, but you priced me out of the market.
