Shays taps Kennedy on the jaw
If Chris Shays talked like this every day I’d be at his office begging him to run for president.
When the congressional page scandal broke last month, Democrats across the country saw a chance to lambaste Republican leadership - including Diane Farrell, who called on House Speaker Dennis Hastert to step down.
But when Sen. Edward M. Kennedy came to Connecticut last week to help her campaign, Rep. Christopher Shays hit back.
“I know the speaker didn’t go over a bridge and leave a young person in the water, and then have a press conference the next day,” said Shays, R-4th District, referring to the 1969 incident in which the Massachusetts Democrat drove a car that plunged into the water and a young campaign worker died.
“Dennis Hastert didn’t kill anybody,” he added.
Wow. I mean, WOW. Go Shays, it’s your birthday! Ted Kennedy is a murderer, and every time the Democrats try to pretend they have the high ground on ANY moral issue, Ted Kennedy is a trump card to beat all trump cards. He got drunk and drove his car into the water, then left a woman to die and gathered his family around him to protect his own ass. Like a sniveling coward.
When I hear Democrats talk about morality, I wait for even one of them to be honest about men like Kennedy, a stalwart of the Democratic party for decades now.

Don’t forget calling his lawyer before calling the police.

They don’t mind supporting a high-ranking Klansman in their ranks, I don’t think the murdering thing even BOTHERS them at this point.
