As for one comment at Lee’s: If you had any honesty in you, you;d admit he regularly slaps down ignorant posters who say dumb shit like that. I’m a lot more intolerant of it than he is, but he still smacks them down on a regular basis.
Do you ever tell the whole truth about anything?

I don’t get why Dems don’t have ideas anymore. Growing up, it seemed to me that even during the Reagan years, the Dems had plans and fought for concepts. Now it’s just “No, bad, you’re a nazi, evil, racist, you can’t have this and you can’t do that” and there’s no growth or positivity there.
The Repubs are moving in that same direction domestically. It’s never about what we CAN do, i’s always about what we CAN’T do. And that’s one of the major signs of the decline of a civilization.

Sure, there is a lot of crap at Kos. Its a popular blog with sever hundred messages per topic; and of course it attracts is share of the looney left. Whats your point though? That this somehow invalidates the topics posted or that everyone who reads stuff there agrees with these posts (which you took somewhat out of context anyway)?

Lee does for a lot of things (particularly for example on homosexuality), but any comments like that directed at Muslims or the French are never contradicted as far as I have seen, but then I have only read his blog for a few months.
The point is however that that guys comments, and others like him, are not reflective of Lee’s beliefs.

Obviously horrible comments, but come on Jim you are being very selective here; how about:
Bringing people’s kids into it sucks. I sort of understood why Cheney’s was; when your boss wants to create a consititutiional ammendment to ban gay marriage and you have a gay daughter who is a political operative for your campaign, it sort of begs the question; but here it would clearly be wrong to bring into the discussion even if it was remotley true.
Of course who ever posted that didn’t say the kid way gay, and clearly had know knowledge of the age. They just saw the look on mum’s face, saw “hidden closet” and guessed.
Furthermore branding a site based on a couple of comments by someone is rediculous. Otherwise, perhaps we can judge your friend Lee’s site based on this comment?
