Re: The Sopranos season premiere

I waited a fucking year for that?  Jesus Jehosaphat Jones...how frigging utterly and absolutely boring.

Chase should have ended this show two years ago.  When the finale airs, it’ll have all the impact of putting a horse down long after time and nature have ravaged what was once a beautiful and proud animal.  In other words, everyone will stand around and say “Well, it is for the best, I mean, he’s not what he used to be.”

I read a review from someone that had seen the first two or three episodes of the season. He said this episode was a bit slow but was intended to sort of set the stage for the final seven. My guess is that things will get very interesting very quickly.

I rather enjoyed the brawl. You no likey?

Yeah but that lasted what, two minutes?  It was literally the only exciting thing to happen save for the 20 seconds when someone did that thing they did with the guy in that place...he said, not spoiling.  ;)

I mean...for fuck’s sake, it can move faster than THAT.  It used to be such a perfect balance of drama and intrigue and moving the plot forward.  Now it’s just overly-masturbatory exposition and dull self-examination with a killing every so often.

Christ, I’ll never complain about Battlestar again after watching that.  :) Well...almost never.

The Sopranos will always be the poster child for greedy producers that stretch a four-season series into seven seasons of cash flow.

Quite seriously… I watched “Desperate Housewives” shortly after we watched “The Sopranos”. DHs had a HELL of a lot more action and was far more entertaining. It’s a sad day indeed when the wives on Wisteria Lane lead more interesting lives than the mobsters in Jersey.

R.I.P. The Sopranos :(

To be fair, they’ve had almost as many people whacked.

Oh come on...you didn’t think Tony might whack his brother in law when they went out after the brawl? janice wasn’t too sure Bobby was coming back.
It wasn’t the best episode but it does set up a load of tension in the family. No?
