Random data
1. Blood pressure is headed down today. 130/98. Resting pulse is 96. Normal for me has always been between 55 and 65. Stay away from Sudafed. And crystal meth.
2. Yesterday I said that it was nice to have a doctor with a sense of humor. Today I’m saying it sucks to have another doctor who thinks he has a sense of humor, but it’s all passive-aggressive unfunny nonsense. Plus he hates cats, and that’s obviously not cool with me. ;)
3. Next Monday I get to sleep in a strange room with wires all over me and a fighter pilot mask on. Fun.
4. Would Aqua Teen Hunger Force be as cult-popular if it didn’t have that kick-ass theme song? I actually watch the opening sequence each and every time. On my iPod. Because the theme song kicks ass.
It took me awhile to warm up to this show...the first few episodes I was like “WTF am I watching this for?” Now I wish there were 300 episodes a week.
5. Why did they decide to remove the killer theme song from The Batman and replace it with some horrible up-tempo 60’s jazz crap? Speaking of crap, who the hell thought adding Batgirl as a permanent fixture was a good idea? And why did they stop using the evil Riddler? It was brilliant, to reinvent him as a Marilyn Manson lookalike with a serious dark side and some kick-ass fighting ability. But noooo, every episode it’s Joker this and Joker that. Joker’s great, but come on. Enough frigging Joker.
6. Scooter Libby - someone summarize it for me. I can’t freaking tell what the hell he’s even being tried for much less if he’s guilty. It kinda seems like he’s the Duke lacrosse players of the Bush Administration - am I 180 degrees reversed on reality there?
7. Things that are more fun than taking Claritin out of the packaging:
- Being “questioned” by Jack Bauer
- Doing your time at Pelican Bay
- An IRS audit

ATHF is really good up until about the point that they replace the Dr. Weird intros with Mooninites intros. The Mooninites intros were basically a single episode they wrote, then cut up into intros because they were too lazy to write Dr. Weird gags, to judge from the quality of the episodes they’re attached to. The show’s been pretty much uniformly fail in its most recent season.
I don’t like the new The Batman theme, either. Maybe they were trying to placate the nostalgia-goggled worshipers of the original animated series and overshot the mark, badly. But as for Batgirl… eh, the costume redesign isn’t that great, and it’s a little weird that she predates Robin, but overall I like her in the show. The way she relates to Robin reflects the way they related to each other at first in the comics perfectly, rather than leaping right into a halfhearted romance angle like the original cartoon did.

He’s being tried for perjury in his grand jury testimony. He is not being tried for being the leak. When he testified he probably thought that he could be considered the source of the leak and didn’t want to get busted.
Basically he thought he was doing 55 in a 35 but the speed limit was 55.
