Patriot’s Journey 2007 - Computers
After the day I’ve had, I realized something I am quite thankful for in the U.S. - my PC. Apple, Microsoft, Xerox PARC, Altair...everyone who played with electronics in their garages, all the small companies that pushed this industry forward, the vast majority of them were right here in these United States. The computers birthed the internet, and I met my soulmate on that thing. Now I can’t imagine life without the network.
It was American drive, determination, a desire to get ahead, and a need to create that brought us this awesome ability to communicate. If you can read this, thank a teacher. if you can read it on the internet, thank an American. :)

I always thought that the internet was powered by magical fairies who were enslaved by not-so-magical dwarves and operated out of a magical tree somewhere in Al Gore’s underwear drawer.

Do you honestly expect me to believe that the intertubes aren’t powered by Al Gore’s underwear faeries?
Dwarfs enslaving faeries to power the internet? Everyone knows the intertubes are powered by the faeries alone.
You right-wingers live in a fantasy world.
