No fucking way

I can’t believe this would be true.  Not even this administration would be this obtuse.  Come on already...to re-hire Brown?  No, this has to be a mistake.  If it’s not...kids, it might just be time to think about oiling up the firearms and storing long-term supplies of water and food.  We’re proper fucked as a country.

CBS News correspondent Gloria Borger reports that Michael Brown, who recently resigned as the head of the FEMA, has been rehired by the agency as a consultant to evaluate it’s response following Hurricane Katrina.

The balls it would take to do this…

My first thought when I read this was a line from a Nicole Blackman poem: “You are sometimes startled.  You are never surprised.”

Wouldn’t that be rather like a guy who showed up to work with striped pants, a plaid shirt, glow-in-the-dark tie, and mismatched socks being assigned to evaluate the office dress code?

Did you hear his comments to the Senate Ovesight people? AMazing...simply amazing.

“Brownie” did make some valid points...like it is not FEMA’s job to evacuate the city or state...that is the local governments responsibility. But he acted as if there was no mistakes on his part other than not “holding more media briefings”. Come on now! I agree a large part of the blame lays at the local level, but to say he bears no brunt of any responsibility is beyond me. He screwed up and was in over his head and had no clue what to do! It was blantanly obvious. I am glad to see the the Repubs went after him on that. Shows to the Dems that they can be impartial.

Well, when it turns out that a large ammount of the media flack (OMG THERE ARE staks of 200 ded bodies at the Supahdoughoam!?1) that prompted your promotion to the vice-president of outplacement were irresponsible rumor peddling I would think you’d been venerated just enough to where you could consult with an investigation.
