Kitty needs a home
Look at the face!

Here’s her story: She’s a ten year-old very healthy, VERY friendly Siamese, she’s mostly dark chocolate with darker points and pale blue eyes...she’s fat and happy. Her previous owner brought her to my vet to be euthanized. Why? Because the new poodles the woman got don’t like her. She’s had the cat for ten years. TEN YEARS. And she wanted this perfectly healthy animal put down because she didn’t want to be bothered having to keep them separate all the time.
My vet said no way. They’re keeping her and looking for a home. If I didn’t already have five cats, she’d be with me now. She’s so sweet I can’t stand it. Just a big fluffy sweetheart of a cat. And she’s beautiful in person, my crappy phone pic did not do her justice. She’s had all her bloodwork done, shots, she’s fixed...she’s as ready to go as any cat could be.
If you are within driving distance of New Haven, CT and you’d like to meet her...let me know via email, stark23x at gmail dot com and I’ll get you the contact info. If you have a blog...help me out by linking to this post.
*UPDATE*

CT?! Damnation. I LOOOOVE cats. My own cat prolly wouldn’t like it too much, but even if that was the case, I’ve got a pal w/ a friendly cat who’d take another kitty. But, CT is far from MN. -.-`

JimK. I really enjoy your podcast, moorewatch, and this blog. I have posted, as you asked, a link to your article about the cat. I can’t believe that owner is so heartless...anyways. If you ever feel like checkin’ my blog out here it is: The Young Conservatives

I’m on the wrong coast, but here’s a cropped copy of the picture in case anybody else wants to make a click-through with it.

Damn. Some people and their pets just piss me off. One woman I knew took far better care of her pets then her goddamn kid. And the pets only got treated that way for a while until she moved on to another pet to be infatuated by.

Hi JimK--
Talk about kitty karma-- I live in New Haven-- I already have three cats of my own, but I also volunteer with a no-kill cat shelter. Please get in touch with me via my e-mail, which I just posted on your registration form. Maybe I can help, even if I can’t adopt her myself. Such a sweet kitty! (And God bless the vet! I wonder if he/she is one that I know.)

Chances are that this woman wants to make show dogs out of the poodles—train them in agility and breed them. In other words, these poodles aren’t even pets at all: they’re merely her brand-new hobby.
She probably didn’t want companions in the first place: she wants property (the poodles) or a live plushie (the cat).

Poor thing. Doesn’t deserve that fate that woman wanted to do to her.
The bitch.
Jeez, our puppy and 5 year old don’t necessarily get along (mostly the cat doesn’t care for the puppy) and we don’t get rid of her. We think it is good that if she ever felt like it she’d teach the puppy some respect.
