Happy Thanksgiving!

Ahh, Thanksgiving.  The holiday that has come to symbolize everything that is great about the excesses of America and everything for which the rest of the world hates us.  They can piss off.  I say eat too much, watch football, plan your shopping, eat some more, ponder all that you have, eat, argue with the relatives, eat, get Grandpa away from the DVD player, eat dessert, fall asleep in the living room, wake up and have some sandwiches.

This year I am thankful for roads to recovery, for family that cares and for you, who keep coming back here no matter how droll, boring, obsessed or offensive I get.  Special thanks to my blog brothers - you know who you are.  Here’s turkey gravy in yer eye!

By the way, for those of you not having family over, I hope that your Thanksgiving is less like this:

and more like this:

Feel free to translate that into whatever images of uptight and sexy work for you.  Dudes in loincloths, Native American Thanksgiving attendees wearing cornhusk bikinis, whatever makes you happy.  As for me, I’m going to whip up a small Thanksgiving meal for me and the wife and see if I can’t rustle up a costume for later.  ;)

The holiday that has come to symbolize everything that is great about the excesses of America and everything for which the rest of the world hates us.  They can piss off.

Especially Canada, the country that tried to rip off Thanksgiving and turn it into just another meaningless monthly holiday.

And personally, I think the Indian dude in the loincloth and the hottie-pilgrim need to get together and “improve race relations”, if ya know what I mean, wink wink, nudge nudge.

Working reality kinda takes all the fun out of the Holidays.

But, If Hottie Pilgrim showed up...I think I could get some of that holiday feeling back.

That said, be kind to those working retail.  This is our hell.

Plain Jane Pilgrim might not be so bad. It could comprise two holidays in one.. Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Unwrapping the gift is always the best part. Plus I never really liked used toys.
