Happy New Year 2008

I think 2007 is the first year in this new century I can safely say that things were better than the year before, and I expect 2008 will continue the trend.  My plan is to keep moving forward and continue to, you know...breathe.  Other than that, I’m pretty open to whatever.

Plans?  Goals?  Resolutions?  Are you making any?

Da Missus and I wish the both of you the very Happiest of New Years.

And the rest of you, too, I suppose. However, as our esteemed host likes to say, BOCTAOE…

Happy New Year Jim and DOnna! I love you both.

I am making some resolutions this year. I normally don’t.

My resolutions this year are as follows:

1. Work out 3 times per week minimum
2. Quit smoking for good. (no more stopping and starting every few months)
3. Eat healthier
4. Brown bag it at work to save $$
5. Track spending to get better in control of it
6. make and STICK to a budget
7. Pay no bill LATE!
8. Spend more QUALITY time with the boys (less TV at night more game nights for us)
9. Potty train Riley LOL
10. Scrapbook at leat 1 page a week

It’s a long list but these are the things I want to work on more this year. I think by accomplishing these things, I will have a fantastic 2008. SOmething about this new year feels really good to me. I don’t know why it feels so much different than other years but it does to me. Like it’s going to be a banner year...in a good way!

Absolutely no resolutions, just a hope that this year is better than the last. Isn’t that all we can hope?

Happy New Year Jim & Donna,

My New Years Resolutions:

1.  Lose 5 kgs (11 pounds);
2.  Run at least 4 kms every second day (2.85 miles - sounds better in kms!) to this end;
3.  Find a cure for my painful arches dispite the best running shows and inserts - if anyone has any ideas I’d LOVE to hear them;
4.  Build a new house - by far my favourite!!!

But seriously, if anyone has any ideas about the arches thing, please tell me.

Best wishes to everyone who inhabits this space, hope the year brings only happiness to you all.

An Janna, good luck with the smoking thing. I kicked in 2007 and have never felt better. Be strong and you can do it!!

I need to lose about 20 pounds (intend to start tomorrow or the next day), finish my dissertation and graduate (May 2009 at the latest) drink less alcohol than in 2007 and get on a stage with my band and actually play a few gigs (fingers crossed).

No resolutions though, I never keep those.

I think this will be a good year for me.  2007 was about as bad as it gets short of total melt down.

Can I suggest keeping your sanity and not watching or writing anything about american idol?
