Gay Go Airborne!
Army officials are investigating allegations that members of the celebrated 82nd Airborne Division appear on a gay pornography Web site, a spokeswoman said Friday.
Authorities at Fort Bragg have begun an inquiry into whether the paratroopers’ actions violated the military conduct code.
You have to be pretty stupid to do porn shots while in the military. You have to be doubly stupid to do gay porn shots. Look, I don’t frigging know how to feel about the whole “gays in the military” issue. I know it is wrong to discriminate. I know this. I am also a practical person...I know that openly gay sexuality is disruptive to any military unit. I also believe that hetero sexuality is disruptive to any military unit...I’m a big fan of the idea that any and all sexual activity between anyone in the military should be prohibited and punished accordingly when discovered.
I say all this because I want it clear that I’m not against these guys being gay...I’m against them being stupid and violating current policy. That’s the real issue here that will be lost under the sexuality and porn issues...these guys willfully violated policy they took oaths to uphold and follow.
That’s not good, and being gay or straight has nothing to do with it. If you sign a contract and make a promise...follow through. Sometimes that means you’ll have to do something you don’t want to do. Sometimes it just means you shouldn’t be an idiot.
