Gamefly

Gamefly says that if I get five people to sign up for a month, they’ll send me a free Wii.

OK.  Let’s test them.  If you are willing to do this, leave your name in the comments.  If we get five, I’ll paypal you the first month’s basic fee (ten bucks).  After the first month everyone can cancel (or keep it if that new shipping facility they just built makes the service worthwhile).

Oh I’ll definitely game on the Wii, I just want to see if Gamefly is actually gonna come off one.

If it doesn’t work, I’ll probably get one for Christmas or something.

I thought of that, and used a different email addy and a different credit card. Hopefully that helps, if not, then I’ll just cancel in a month. No loss, no foul.

The fine print is really fine but here are the key elements.

1) You must be a first-time GameFly member signing up for a new account and keep your account for 2 months minimum
2) All 5 referrals must also be first-time accounts and must retain membership for 2 months. 
3) Gamefly does not guarantee you will get a Wii. You will get a redemption certificate for either a Wii or one year of service and you can request which one you want. They reserve the right to swap the Wii for one year of service if they are out of the Wii.

On the other hand, they also have an affiliate program where you get $15-20 per person you get to sign up for GameFly.
