Err…uhh…ID? Dudes? WTF?
Anyone else think the single-player Quake4 looks and plays an awful lot like Doom3? I mean the look, the feel of play (same engine, so that’s not surprising I guess), the darkness, the jumping-out-of-nothing monster closets, all of it. It’s Doom3 with a new skin. Not that I’m really complaining much...I like it, and it looks good even on my aging video card. I’m not that far in, so maybe it’s different later on in the game.
The deathmatching though...man, I forgot how fast-twitch Quake can be. You can’t play when you’re slowed down, be it impaired chemically or just tired. I can see a sudden increase of Bawls gurana sales. :)
