Blood for oil! Blood For Oil! BLOOD FOR OIL!!!
Gas prices have jumped by nearly 26 cents so far this year, and while they won’t be falling by that amount any time soon, they aren’t expected to rise much higher, according to the Lundberg survey of 8,000 stations nationwide. The survey was conducted Friday.
The previous combined average record high was $1.76 in May 2001.
Hmm.
If the war in Iraq was all about “BLOOOOODDD FOR OOOOIIILL,” where’s the oil?
War protesters, I’m looking at *you*.

By the way, it is only the record high if you don’t adjust for inflation. Meaning that it is the record high in the land of shit that ain’t true.

$1.77? Don’t I wish. Here in LA, it starts at about $2.10 at the cheap places and goes up from there. Can we invade Saudia Arabia now please?

The new claim that came out once oil prices rose was that the war was about increasing the cost on oil so Bush’s oil buddies could make more money.\r

The only problem is that this is really the outcome of Venezuela’s screwed-up oil industry, and has little to nothing to do with the Middle East.
