Blanco refuses to help, even now
Art Jones, a senior official with the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, said state authorities, who are in command of the Louisiana State Police and National Guard, have no plans at the moment to participate in a forced evacuation.
“We personally will not force anyone out of their homes,” he told reporters at a briefing
Mandatory evacuation apparently means different things to different people. But of course, this is Bush’s fault. He mind-controls Blanco and makes her belligerent and incompetent. That way she matches the rest of the morons in government.
Someone tell me why we’ve settled for this system?

The system is pretty good… the problem are the limited number of parts suppliers (i.e. 2 party system) and the people assembling it (voters). Fix those things and you fix the system. Shouldn’t be too difficult, eh? :)
