You actually wouldn’t even need to.
There are plenty of magno-pens you can get at any dollar store. With one, you can just draw on the etch-a-sketch like you would a pad.
(Meaning you can just trace it from an image, as well.)

It’s pretty obvious by the lack of connecting lines in a lot of places that he either photoshopped it, or used one of these.

But, if it helps, I’m not saying he definitely did do it that way, just that if he’d wanted to, he could have.

And don’t sweat the Santa thing.
Christmas is grossly overrated, anyway.

Personally, I much prefer .
