No, Jim, what Drum’s saying is that the measurer actually encompasses the heel of her other foot as well as the toe-to-heal of the one on top. And now that he pointed it out, I can see it too, it’s just hard to tell with those ugly-ass shoes.
But it’s still huge. I don’t think -my- feet are that big, and I’m 6’5” and built heavy.

Actually, considering the picture and all of the comments above, the relative distance between the top of the heel and toe of Ms. Do’s shoe appears to be approximately equal to the spine of the magazine. However, that represents her extended foot. If one wishes to actually see if MoDo (God, I love that sobriquet) possesses enormous peds, one should translate the extended (top-of-the-heel-to-toe) length to bottom-of-the-heel-to-toe foot length. Then one can waltz down to a ladies’ shoe store and measure the same distance on an equivalent pair of high heeled shoes. Using nothing more than a wild-assed guess, I would put the heel height at 3 inches. If you know the length of the spine of the magazine (a foot? eleven inches?), then you can use Pythagoras’ therom to determine the other distance.

Let’s say the mag was 11 inches and the heels were 3 inches. Then

(1) c^2 = a^2 + b^2 or
(2) 121 = 9 + b^2 or
(3) sqrt(112) = b or
(4) 10.58 inches

If the magazine spine was a foot long, then MoDo’s heel-to-toe distance would be 11.62 inches. I haven’t done any extensive shopping for ladies’ high heels (lately), but I should think anything that size put’s them out of the petite and dainty category..

You actually do have a lot to apologize for.  The original post citing and quoting this blog has a time stamp of Friday, November 18, 2005—12:23:48 PM.  The post you linked above came a full day after and JimK’s comments came after that.

The forum the post is made on has an edit window of under 60 minutes.  R-Doh would have had to traveled back in time to edit the original post.

The original link came from a comment over at Ace’s site, leading to the second entry, not the allegedly attributed first post, which was on an entirely different page. This thread, to be precise, with the thief’s comment being the 6th one from the top.

The exact quote he made was on Ace’s comment thread was, ”I did photographic analysis on MoDo’s shoes here”, not “look what I found over at JimK’s place”.

In that second entry - which gave ZERO indication that it had been (allegedly) properly posted and credited anywhere else on that or any other page - he AGAIN said (and this is a direct quote from the entry he linked), “You know, I thought I’d give her the benefit of the doubt and take another look. I compared her feets to the typical barflystool size. I compared her feets to her apparent head size. I compared them to the bartender’s giant belly. I’m really thinking they’re some real big feets.”
