Another vet against Kerry
I’d like to see some of you, and I’m looking at you in particular, Sean, go tell this Vietnam vet he’s a liar, his opinion doesn’t matter, etc.
You lied, Johnny boy. You lied, while good men died. We haven’t forgotten Johnny. We won’t forget, we won’t let you forget, and we won’t let anyone else forget. Veterans’ Day is coming, Johnny. This year it’s November 2nd.
I’m old, Johnny. I’m sick, and I’m tired. But I have unfinished business, Johnny boy. I will dance at your funeral Johnny, and I will piss on your grave. Take that to the bank.
It’s easy for the left to dismiss the Swifties, all 280+ of them, by treating them like faceless minions of Karl Rove. I’d like to see some of you go head to head with someone who was there. An actual person to whom you have to answer for your baseless charges and hurtful lies.

Point of clarification… I’ll call him a liar if/when I see evidence that I think warrants it. What I mean in my above post is that the link provided doesn’t have any obvious content on which to base such a judgement call.

I find it telling - and a little disturbing - that you would be automatically ready to call him a liar for pointing out the problems he has with what Kerry did and said when he got back. Those words are beyond question, since we have both voice and video, and Kerry’s own admissions, and the fact that Kerry is seen as one of the major players in halping the North Vietnamese to “win” the war, despite the fafct that they never won a single military engagement. Not one. Not even the Tet Offensive, and most military experts call that the worst drubbing the VC took through the whole war.
But Kerry came back and betrayed his fellow soldiers, and useful fools like yourself helped him to persuade the (heavily Democratic) Congress to just give up. (Somewhat like Notre Dame taking on a Junior High Junior Varsity, winning by 126 to 0, and then walking off the field to forfeit the game, causing the death of everyone in the stands. (Something like “Kerry lied, millions died!” should go here...)
But several men who physically suffered torture because of John Kerry’s words? They’re all liars, right, Sean? (At least, that’s what Kerry says, so it must be true...)

You obviously didn’t read what I wrote, so there’s no point responding further.

No, Sean, the real reason there’s no point in responding is your mind is already made up, regardless of the feelings, experience and knowledge of hundreds of vets. Of dozens of POWs who had John Kerry’s words used against them, who still to this day feel betrayed and can’t sit idly by while that lying fuck tries to become CiC.
There’s no point in responding because you don’t give a rat’s ass about the truth. You want to play gotcha and pretend that 5 or 6 guys who are getting pimp style to travel with Kerry outweigh hundreds of vets and prisoners of war that are trying to tell their stories. You haven’t read Unfit, we both know it. You haven’t seen Stolen Honor. And you won’t seek them out, because you’re not interested in having your point of view challenged.
THAT is why there is no point in responding.

Of course I haven’t read unfit or seen this latest bit of propaganda. I don’t give a fuck what Kerry did when he was in Vietnam. I don’t give a fuck what he did when he got back from Vietnam. I don’t care what Bush did back then. 25 years from now, I won’t care what you did when you were 25 either. You’re right that I’ve made up my mind about Kerry. Duh. And you’re right that nothing a bunch of veterans allege about Kerry would change my mind.
However, the difference between you and I is I’ll readily admit my biases and my pre-conceived notions while you like to pretend that you have some kind of magical impartiality, that you don’t blow a load when you find a Democratic gotcha moment, that you utterly ignore Republican gotcha moments, that you’re a “Nobody But Bush” or that you’re not an intellectually bankrupt hypocrite. Sorry Jim, we’re exactly the same… the difference is that I admit it (often) which is far more honest than I’ve ever seen you be on your boards.

You know what Jim… just go ahead and ban be and be done with it. You won’t have to worry about me breaking up your little right-wing circle jerk around here anymore. It will be much easier on you that way.

I’m Rann Aridorn, and I approve of this “Ban Sean” initiative.

Ban you?
Why, are you a troll?
Sean, your reaction is childish at best. If you had a defense you’d be offering it, instead your trying to blame any and everything but your own distinct lack of fairness for why you would call liars men that you haven’t had the courtesy to at least listen to.
That’s by your own admission. You aren’t displaying basic decency enough to hear them out before you brand them liars. I would NEVER do something like that, and I never have. I actually investigate things before I brand someone a liar. I seek out opposing points of view. I am critical of anyone and anything that I feel needs criticizing and you know that. But hey...throw a tantrum, it REALLY impresses that your point of view is well-thought out.

If you want to just dismiss it as a tantrum that’s fine with me. Whatever helps prop up your fantasy world delusions that you’ve built for yourself and I’ve quite correctly called you on. You told me I should go tell him he’s a liar and I said I would if I thought it warranted it. You provide a link to some vet who makes absolutely NO claims which I can refute and then say I can’t back my shit up (just has links to some video that I, admitedly, have no interest in wasting my time watching because the “issue” is utterly irrelevant)? And of course, you utterly fail to grasp this basic reality. See ya.

I’m sorry, I thought you were leaving, Sean? That *is* what you said.
See, THAT would be the tantrum. The drama queen crap is unnecessary.
Also, Kerry’s ability to lead the military during, oh, I dunno, a fucking WAR, is relevant. And his disgusting near-traitorous behavior as regards the military *is* relevant. I suppose this goes to you not dealing much with U.S. service people, which I do on a daily basis these days. It *is* an important issue to those who will have to follow this guy and simply can’t trust him.
Since you can’t vote anyway, I suppose it really doesn’t matter what you say or don’t say, watch or don’t watch I just find it absolutely amazing that you refuse to see any other side but the one that bolsters your opinion. *I* seek out the other side, constantly. You seem proud of the fact that you refuse to do the same.
I’d call that a significant difference in how we reach our respective opinions.

I’d love to call him a liar, but he doesn’t actually say anything on the link you provided. Some pictures and a reference to some movie or something. Am I to understand that he was on the swift boat that Kerry was leading back in Vietnam?
