Anna Nicole Smith dead?
This isn’t intended to be a snark, I’m not that horrible...but if this is true, it’s not surprising.
CBS4 News has learned that former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith was taken from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Thursday afternoon in an apparent medical emergency, and rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
CBS4 sources claim Smith, who gave birth in September and who lost another son under suspicious circumstances in the Bahamas, was found unconscious in her hotel room at the hotel in Hollywood.
One witness told CBS4 News that paramedics were pumping Smith’s chest as she was taken from the hotel, and a source there said she was breathing.
CBS4’s Brian Andrews> Reports that a representative for Smith told him that she was ill yesterday.
However, paramedics were seen administering what appeared to be CPR as Smith was in the ambulance, and later as she arrived at the hospital.
EOnline is confirming her death.
ET confirms that ANNA NICOLE SMITH died this afternoon after she collapsed at a Florida hotel.
The actress and TRIMSPA spokesperson was staying at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida.
According to reports, Anna Nicole collapsed around 2 p.m. and paramedics were called. They reportedly performed CPR at the scene. She was then taken to the Memorial Regional Hospital.
Her partner, HOWARD K. STERN, tells ET that Anna Nicole’s temperature was running high last night. The couple was shopping for a new boat in Florida.
OK, I’ll be a little callous; I just don’t care at all about her or Howard K. Stern - they’re both opportunistic wastes of air. But she just had a baby that might actually be photographer Larry Birkhead’s daughter, and he has gone through a lot just to find out. Here’s to hoping Stern simply comes to California and does the paternity test, and if the baby is Birkhead’s, just turns her over to him. The baby is the only one here that matters.

When it said that she had collapsed and was unresponsive I knew that she was dead. Sad but not surprising. I just don’t know why we’re making a big deal over it. She’s almost on the same level of significance as Paris Hilton

The news coverage is certainly out of proportion to her importance...as awful as that sounds to say, it’s just true.
She wasn’t a great actress, a great human being or a statesperson. She was just a D-list celeb who married an old guy. I posted it mainly to say that the baby needs looking after…

You know, on the one hand, you want to blurt “That’s insane!”
But then you think about what Marilyn Munroe was actually like, and what she’d probably have been like in this day and age, in a less restrictive Hollywood… and it’d probably be fairly accurate.
