al Qaeda says they did it

al Qaeda made the Democrats win?  Or is he just saying that the outcome makes them the winners?

In a portion of the tape from al Qaeda No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahri, made available only today, Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats.

“The first is that you aren’t the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen—the Muslim Ummah’s vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq—are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost,” Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News.

Whatevs.  Not that I wouldn’t love to take a shot at the Democrats, and Lord knows some of them are going into full appeasement mode as we speak, but the Democrats didn’t win, nor did this backwater sand hillbilly have anything to do with it.  The Republicans lost the midterms by being jackasses and ignoring the concept of smaller government and secure borders.

It’s that simple.
