A tale of two hucksters

Let me see if I can clarify this.  Je$$e Jack$son and Al $harpton both want Don Imus - a washed-up no-talent shock jock - fired over the term “nappy headed hos.” These same two self-appointed “black leaders” don’t have a god-damned thing to say about Crystal Gail Magnum, the lying whore who tried to destroy three young men by accusing them of rape - which we now know to be a completely and totally false accusation - and why?

Because Crystal Gail Magnum is black, and therefore Al and Jesse can’t get on TV or make any money off telling the world that they were wrong and she’s a whore and a liar who had the DNA of five different men - none of whom were Duke lacrosse players - in or on her body that night.

Let me rephrase one part of that.  Jesse ”Hymietown” Jackson and Al ”Tawana Brawley” Sharpton are calling for Imus’ head and at the same time not speaking out at all about the egregious violation of the law, the civil right of the (white) Duke lacrosse players and the enormous cost of the investigation all predicated on the lies told by a (black) stripper who was covered in and filled with strange men’s semen, none of them any of the defendants.

I don’t know how black people can stand those two clowns.  Every time I see them it seems like they’re setting race relations back 50 years.  To top it all off, I don’t know what’s worse: that these two are continually inserting themselves into situations where they don’t belong, that black people go along with it or that the media keeps paying attention to them when they pose and preen for the cameras.

Je$$e was quoted in an early version of the AP story. Right here.

“We just hope this traumatic experience for all involved ends with the minimum amount of damage,” the Rev.  Jesse Jackson said shortly before Cooper’s announcement Wednesday. Jackson’s Chicago-based Rainbow/Push Coalition had offered to help the accuser pay for college but wasn’t able to contact her

In other words he wants to distance himself from the lying girl.  Her family is playing the race card.  She’s likely to get nothing out of this because of worry about real rape victims being afraid to come forward.

Black “leadership:” setting back race relations and rape victims rights 30 years.

Unfortunately, we are more likely to see JJ and AS(s) throw out conspiracy theories about the white man holding the black man down.

When asked about the “victim” they’ll ask, “What victim?”

You know, Russ Martin, a radio personality in the DFW area, spouts all sorts of worse shit than that all the time. And oddly enough the leeches never show up to complain. Know why?

‘Cause Russ doesn’t care, and his station doesn’t care. Those assholes wouldn’t be able to do jack shit and they know it.

Would Imus be facing the storm he is if you changed one fact about him?  What if he were black?

What if, now it may be difficult to follow me on this one, what if Don Imus was relevant?

What then?

Would they go after him with the same gusto?  Or would they be unable to leverage themselves over someone who has some margin of “power”?

Imus is a moron for what he said, but they are just kicking an old man while hes got no kick-back left.

Now that I look back on the Duke lacross rape case, it really could not have turned out any better for the players involved (except if the false charge had never been made in the first place, that is).  Once the allegation of rape was made, if the prosecutor had actually done his job well, if he had concluded from the evidence that no rape had actually occurred, and he had not brought any charges, then there would still always be a cloud of suspiscion hanging over the heads of the accused, as some would claim that the prosecution was lax for whatever reason.  But since they had a prosecutor go after them like a doberman going after a porterhouse, and finally a top state official had to step in to stop what had become an obviously runaway prosecution, their innocence is not likely to be questioned.  It did not hurt that the State AG was from the same political party as the runaway prosecutor either.  In fact, now, turning out as it has, the Duke lacrosse players will forever be seen as the victims rather than being suspected by some of being actual perpetrators.

If the charges had been dropped immediately after a thorough evalutaion of the evidence (as they really should have been) there would always have been whispers and nagging suspiscions following these young men.  Instead, after the current spate of publicity (which they may drag out some if they choose to sue for improper prosecution), they can go back to their lives pretty much completely vindicated.  They don’t even have Je$$e Jack$on or Al $harpton on their backs anymore.  You know that if the case had been immediately dropped that Je$$e and Al would still be pointing to this as a case of white men getting away with raping a black woman.

This is just MHO, though.

If only that were true. Quoted here

“Since we haven’t gone through a normal legal process, we don’t know what really happened,” said Duke biology professor Sheryl Broverman. “The fact the charges were dropped doesn’t mean nothing happened. It just means information wasn’t collected appropriately enough to go forward.”

People want to believe that this was a case of evil white rich males with libido’s on fire taking advantage of this poor innocent black woman, and that the law just made sure that the black woman wouldn’t get justice because they’re racist.

People want to believe that this was a case of evil white rich males with libido’s on fire taking advantage of this poor innocent black woman, and that the law just made sure that the black woman wouldn’t get justice because they’re racist.

I understand that some are going to think that because it fits with their worldview.  But my point is that I think the percentage of the population that will take that stance will be so small that it can easily be ignored and will not have a lingering effect on these young men’s lives.  It will be comparable to the number of people who believe that JFK was never assasinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, but was instead taken back to his home planet of Xoltan by the alien mothership while a look-alike double was killed to throw everyone off their tracks.  I could be wrong, but I think (and hope) that will be the case.

I mean, after all, besides the quote you give above and a few quotes in the blog entry you link to, I have heard absolutely no criticism of the declaration of innocence that came from the NC AG (and you may note that those criticisms listed above and in the linked blog entry all actually were made prior to the declaration of innocence on Wednesday).  A lot of that, I think relates to the fact that the NC AG went A LOT further than he had to in his press statement.  He didn’t just say that there was no evidence to support the rape charges.  He came out and affirmitively stated that NO ATTACK OF ANY KIND EVER ACTUALLY TOOK PLACE.  That is a far cry further than simply stating that the AG was going to drop the charges.

I think and hope that it will be the case that these young men can now put this whole situation behind them.

This is a great little opinion from a black guy from a message board that I frequent (it is censored due to board rules):

I hate this whole thing and I’m very close to disliking my race as a whole. We are misrepresented by racist ****s like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Al Sharpton basically waits for some white person to slip up and then pounces on them. Then he makes it a big scene by hooting and hollering on TV trying to remind everyone about racism. Racism isn’t holding back black people............it’s our own culture that’s holding us back.

Black men don’t want to take care of their children, therefore our children lack the necessary male figures in their life. It’s culturally acceptable to hang out on the streets instead of going to school for a higher education. We constantly degrade our own women and we never want to help our own people out. Rather than do something for the community, the so called “Black Leaders” are focusing on issues that aren’t even issues.

Segregation came and went. There’s no need to fight for that anymore. Yes there are remnants here and there, but racism is a fight that will never be won. Hate will always be in this world. The only way black people can overcome racism is to help themselves. Get educated, stop poisoning our culture, stop abandoning our children, stop destroying our communities, stop selling drugs to our own people just so you could buy those rims you want, and stop killing each other. We are our own worst enemies. Not the white man. We fight amongst our self in our own filth while calling each other niggers, and the only time we stop and unify is when a non black utters something remotely racist. Deadly Hypocrisy......that’s what that is.

Should Imus have been fired? No. He didn’t do anything wrong. It was a joke. A poor joke, but a joke regardless. What’s racist about nappy? ****.........some black people do have nappy hair. That’s the makeup of their hair. It’s a fact. It’s not an insult. And since when are black women the only ones referred to as hos? Last time I check I called every girl of every race a ho. Imus handled himself with more class and dignity than Sharpton or anyone else involved in this matter. I applaud him and wish him good luck in the future......whether he’s racist or not. Al Sharpton on the other hand...........he can suck dick. He isn’t any leader of mine. ****ing hypocrite.

Which is great because it basically goes against the opinion of a left-wing, communist, homosexual white guy who is full-on believer of “whites are evil, blacks are perpetual victims” mantra put on by the likes of Sharpton and Jackson.

That was a great post.  Except for some of the more colorful language, it sounded almost like what Bill Cosby has been saying (and getting crucified for saying, by some) for a couple of years now.
