5 o’clock in the morning
Angels of Sleep have abandoned me,
left me with this place, these thoughts, your scent.
Every night I ask,
Every night they come.
Every night we talk and sit,
and sit and talk,
and every night they leave
taking the last possibility of peace with them.
They leave me here.
At five o’clock in the morning,
with a promise;
“We’ll be back tomorrow,
and we’ll bring peace, serenity and perhaps,
if there’s room, tranquility.”
I try not to believe them.
Oh, I’ll wait
I’ll be here, just in case the angels bring everything they’ve promised.
One day they will grow tired of abandoning me,
leaving me with only nothingness to think about.
No one can think about everything and expect to rest their head,
and so I beg for the angel’s peace.
I beg for a few short hours where things that confuse are okay
and the things that you fear
disappear when you open your eyes.
I still believe they will come,
and I will finally be at peace.
For now,
It seems the Angels of Sleep have abandoned me.

Humph… is that who makes Ambien?
Well hell, I could just about spit on their main
production facility from my office. They’re about 1.5 miles down the road.
Which begs the question… how important is Ambien?
I only ask because, on 9/11, after the second plane hit, they locked down that building like it was fort-fucking-knox.
From the local buzz, it was, on that day, one of the most secured locations in the country, complete with unmarked black suburbans at the main gates.
Of course, that probably has less to do with Ambien than it does with the fact that this facility produces somewhere around 70% of the nation’s vaccines.

Try a self-administered inhaled dose of Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannibinol. I’ve heard it will do wonders.
It will fuck up your diet, though…
