Man Jailed for Forcing Girl Off Balcony

Let’s recap:

Kidnapped a 15 year-old girl
Threatened her at knifepoint
Forced her to drink disinfectant
Sprayed her face with insecticide
Mutilated a pet hamster and threw it at her
Forced her to jump from 22nd floor balcony

This is the second time he’s done it.

There must be something that draws people who live to protest anything to the left coast.  I realize that if your pet peeve is logging, then protesting in Arizona is pointless; you want to be where the logs are.  But c’mon now, it seems like one out of every two residents of the Pacific Northwest are complete lunatics.  Now we have one starving himself.

Good for that German tourist.  Apparently he’s a 15-year Judo expert, and killed this attacker with his bare hands after suffering two hatchet wounds to his head.

Ahh, sweet sweet justice.  No court, no protesters, just a quick death sentence.

Yahoo News has this story about a group the sniper(s) may have belonged to.

My first reaction was “Well, duh.”

Only five percenters call themselves Gods and have any connection to Islam.  I’ll wager these guys started as Farrakhan Muslims and found that even he wasn’t radical enough, and were drawn to the Five Percenter movement.

I stayed away from any Wellstone stories so far because, well, what’s the point?  It’s tragic he and his family and 6 other people died.  I’d like to see some media attention for the 6 other people, but hey, I’d also like a million dollars and the power to turn all women into Torrie Wilson, so…

I didn’t like the guy’s politics, and I’m not going to praise him because he died.  I will, however, call the gentleman who writes the drivel at voxnyc.com names like “buffoon,” “goon,” and “loon.”

I can’t help but to bring you one more fine passage:

The Niigata District Court sentenced Nobuyuki Sato to 14 years’ imprisonment in January this year after finding him guilty of confining the girl for 9 years and 2 months at his home in Kashiwazaki, Niigata Prefecture. (Read the rest of the story here)

Where oh where is that famous and oft-romanticized Japanese justice we hear about?  Hwat ever happened to the whole “I have dishonored my family and now I must kill myself.” thing?

Is my idea about Japanese justice far too influenced by karate movies and Kurasowa?
